Mexico City is an important financial hub for North America. It is located in the Valley of Mexico, a largest valley in the high plateaus at the center of Mexico, at an altitude of 2,240 metres (7,350 ft). The city was built by the Aztec’s and was nearly destroyed in the siege of Tenochtitlan in 1521. After being rebuilt, the city officially was known as Ciudad de Mexico. As a city, Mexico ranks on the 6th place in terms of population, with almost 8.6 million inhabitants. In fact, It is also ranks as the largest city in North America.

5. Delhi, India:

Delhi, the capital city of India with a population of over 23 million, is the 5th  most populous cities in the world. It is the largest city in India in terms of area. The city is hub of  cultural and political activities in India. Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, it has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and the modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region.
