3. Corruption And Loop Holes In The Infrastructure

The country’s mining sector is the perfect example of the corruption that takes place in the country. If India is holing to increase supply, draw investments and speed up growth, corruption is the first obstacle to remove.

The Colgate scam as it is most recognized by, came out after a report by India's Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) that accused the ruling UPA government of selling the coal field unlawfully. This later took the shape of one of the biggest scandals in India.

The list doesn’t end here. Over the recent years the country witness even bigger scams like the around the Commonwealth Games, the telecom scam, and most recently in cricket, with the Indian Premier League etc.

India ranked 94 on Transparency International's 2012 Corruption Perceptions Index.
