Focus is the driving factor in business and managers need to learn the art of determination. Never let your focus and determination go astray. Have you smelled a sense of disbelief all around? Or has the team underestimated the English hunger to win? As Anil Kumble rightly said, there has been a child-like belief that since everything has been going well so far, it will continue to do so and sheer momentum will carry India over the line; however, it proved to be wrong. Where was the focus? The focus of the team has been directed towards Indian Premiere League right after the World Cup and then the West Indies series. The team hardly got enough time for such an important series which ultimately took the number one ranking away from the team.
