Talking about India’s impact on the global market Kotler said that still there are no particular Indian brands that has made its presence felt globally. Big companies like Tata are there, but on an average basis every an American doesn’t know about the brand and its product that much. He further added that he believes Asia will soon have many brands of its own brands that will be able to succeed globally.

He pointed out that, several popular global brands hail from many small countries like Switzerland. These countries do not have a very powerful economy but have succeeded to create products and brands which have made a mark at the global market.

Kotler further added that various people consider marketers only as promoters but in the actual scenario marketers are those who segment the target consumers, set and achieve targets and create brand positions in the market.  He said that he wants marketers to be proactive rather than reactive.
