6) Dover Lane Music Festival

Dover Lane Music Festival is held at Nazrul Mancha Auditorium in South Avenue, Kolkata and is an Indian classical music festival. This is conducted during the months of December and January. It has been conducted for more than 50 years now. It is held for 5 to 6 days. This festival is a great milieu of the older and younger generations of music. This amalgamation of the past and present creates a great energy in this festival, which in unmatchable. It draws people not only from the music background but also the ones who are passionate about music. It was started in the year 1952 as a center to share opinions and ideas related to music. Earlier it was held at Dover Lane but later shifted to Nazrul Mancha.
