Another common reason misunderstandings occur in organizations, is because people are not sure about their boundaries. They are not sure of what they are allowed to do and say--which leads them to trespass their boundaries. Many organizations have a clear understanding of what people are allowed to do and how. Some of the bosses would never entertain direct communication with the employees on the lower tier, and would require all communications to come via the proper channels.
