Penicillin

“Filth which killed another filth”
Purpose:

Sir Alexander Fleming, was always found hanging around the laboratory to make something because chemicals and their reactions always fascinated him. He was once working on such experiment and had a plastic dish filled with bacteria, maybe he was frustrated that things didn’t work the way he wanted he left for a week’s holiday leaving the plastic container open and scattered around by mistake.

Invention:
Getting back from his holiday he noticed that his lab was messy and found the filthy plastic dish on the table. Examining it closely he found that the dish was contaminated by a blue-green mould, he found that this mould had killed the bacteria that was on the plate. Sir Alexander Fleming researched on this possibility and thus came up with an effective anti bacterial dose called the “Penicillin.”
Penicillin has saved many lives and is still counting. Mistakes are sometimes good. Isn’t it?
