Best Known for: Largest exporter of ‘Brazil nuts’

Brazil nuts are one of the most appealing nuts that grow approximately at around 65 metres in height and have been known to exceed 2.5 metres wide. The tree is known as the "Royal Tree" and grows in its natural Amazon rainforest jungle. An interesting fact about this nut is that though it is known as Brazil nuts, Bolivia, a South American landlocked country is the largest exporter of it. Out of the 20,000 tons of Brazil nuts harvested each year, Bolivia accounts for about 50 percent, followed by Brazil at 40 percent and Peru at 10 percent.

9. Chile:

Best Known for: Least Divorce rate

Chile is one of South America's most stable and prosperous nations. It leads Latin American nations in human development, competitiveness, income per capita, globalization, state of peace, economic freedom, and low perception of corruption. This Catholic country has a least divorce rate of just 0.1 and is the only Latin American country where most of the married couples are happily settled in their lives. For Chileans, it seems the sanctity of marriage is important and something worth fighting for.

10. People's Republic of China:

Best Known for: Largest Military service

The People’s Liberation Army is the military arm of the People’s Republic of China. It is the largest army in the world. For Chinese men upon reaching the age of 18 years old, military service is compulsory, but drafting has never been enforced because of the huge number of volunteers. Its constant clashes with its neighbors due to conflicting territorial claims have given the country additional reason to maintain such a strong force.
