7. David Fischer, VP of Advertising and Global Operations

Fischer was Sheryl Sandberg’s deputy at Google and took over online sales and operations there when she left. Soon in 2010 he followed Sandberg to Facebook and now handles the Advertising and Global Operations. Both also had worked together at the Treasury Department in Washington, D.C., in the Clinton government. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Cornell University and a MBA from Stanford University. He serves on the boards of the SEEP Network, a global non-profit dedicated to microfinance and enterprise development.

8. Sheryl Sandberg, COO

Sheryl Kara Sandberg is the chief operating officer of Facebook since 2008. In June 2012, she was also elected to the board of directors by the existing board members, becoming the first woman to serve on its board. She has earlier worked at White House, the Treasury Department, and Google. In 2012, she was named in the list of the 100 most influential people in the world assembled by Time.

 

9. Mike Schroepfer, Vice President of Engineering

Schroepfer has been at the top of Facebook’s organization for a while as VP of engineering. Called as Schrep, he was previously VP of engineering at Mozilla and, before that, at Sun Microsystems. Schroepfer is responsible for running Facebook's data centers and keeping the site up and running and costs low.
