#8 Toyota Innova

In the month of August, Toyota Innova could sell 6439 units that places it at the eighth place on the list. For more than a decade, Toyota ruled the car segment in India. With the launch of Innova, Indians finally found a comfortable, reliable and efficient family vehicle, one that could make city travel and highway trips. Toyota recently launched the upgraded version of Innova priced at around 13 lakh. The hatchback with 9 to 11.4 mileage, is good for the comfort it gives and for its engine; but it costs a little high.

#9 Hyundai i10

Hyundai i10, launched in 2007, has recorded sales of 6300 units in August 2012, showing a marginal increase from the previous month. The vehicle was well received in the Indian market and the updated version appeared in September 2011, further increasing its appeal among the users. It has two engine options, a CNG version and an automatic variant. The car with 16.95-20.36 kmpl mileage gives value for money with its state-of-the-art features and powerful engine; but it has no diesel version.
