#4 Hyundai i20

The Hyundai i20, almost consistently sells around 7700 units per month and in August 2012 also the figures were same. The people-mover, which is recently upgraded as i-Gen i20 or the Fluidic i20 and launched in Indian market in March 2012, is available in 12 variants; the petrol variants come in RS.473400-665894; the  diesel variants come in 596,334-744,013 and the automatic variant is priced at RS.767,405.

The new generation i20 claims of having more stylistic looks and a host of unique features. It comes with a more powerful and refined 1.2 Kappa petrol engine with Dual VTVT mechanism that delivers 84ps of peak power. The high-tech 1.4 U2 CRDi diesel offers 6-speed manual transmission that delivers 90ps power and 13.9 kg-m of torque.

There are some first-in-segment features as well, such as Rear Parking Camera, Electro Chromic Mirror offering anti-glare vision during night time driving, Clean Air-Cluster Ionizer for fresh air in the cabin, Auto Headlight Control Function, 6 Airbags, Rear Disc Brakes, Supervision Cluster and Rain Sensing Wipers.

In the month of August, both Indica and Indica Vista saw a marginal sales decline, both the cars sold 7591 units altogether. The model, 3.8 m long and 1.7 m wide, is priced at 3.49 lakh-4.88 lakh and it has more interior space than the original version.
