Nominally, Russian has the ninth largest economy in the world at present and is believed to become the sixth largest economy by 2030. In terms of PPP, Russia has the sixth largest economy

Russia is very rich in terms of natural recourses. Oil, natural gas, coal and precious metals play a remarkable role in the Russian economy. Russia also has the highest number of billionaires in the world.

2008 and 2009 was not very supportive for the Russian economy. The recession during this period pushed down its economy to a certain level but Russia managed to gain a consistent economic growth in the late 2009 and 2010.

5. Germany

GDP (PPP) 2030: $6,533 billion

Germany is expected to have the fifth largest economy by the end of 2030. It is the largest economy in Europe at present.

In the list of exporter, Germany stands in the second place. In 2011, Germany is believed to have exported $1.408 trillion. Most of the exported goods consist of the lignite and potash salts. It is also one of the leaders in producing wind turbines and solar power technology.
