9. The emergence of new iPad competitor:
Motorola Xoom is no way a competitor to iPad 2. It was a failure as it has poor operating system in android 3.0 which delayed it to gain attraction in the market. Google is also facing problems to hold a android platform for its tablet customers. The partnership of Google and Motorola can lead to the heavy investment on Motorola tablet and with the android in their tablet they could introduce something of better worth which can affect the sale of iPad 2.
10. Patents
Google has been facing problems with their patent portfolio. The company had been sued by oracle over suspecting of patent infringement in their android OS. The vendor partners have also been brought into this issue. Apple also has issue with the Google's android. But now Google has the Motorola mobility patent portfolio on its shore the whole scene can be altered. It's possible the "bogus" patent suits, as Google's chief legal counsel, David Drummond, calls them, might come to an end.
