David Karp, 25 is the founder of Tumblr, a social blogging platform. David Karp founded Tumblr in 2007 with Marco Arment as lead developer, 75,000 existing bloggers soon switched to the platform, and since that time, the service has garnered more than 3 million users. In 2010, he was named to the MIT Technology Review TR35 as one of the top 35 innovators in the world under the age of 35.
The site ranks as the 10th largest social network with 6.8 million weekly visits. Today the company has a valuation of $800 million.
