Cisco Cius
Cisco planned to move onto the tablet bandwagon, with the Cius business tablet. Cius, which is pronounced as ‘see-us’ gets confused with a German word ‘tschuss’, which means ‘Goodbye’. According to Cisco, played around the first two letters in ‘Cisco’ with ‘us’, but it turned out as not a good move on Cisco’s part. Adding to Cius’ woes; the product’s launch kept getting delayed; was over-priced for a product optimized for video-conferencing, and runs on the old version of Android, which made the over-hyped product a name worth forgetting.
