Trekstor iBeat Blaxx

trekstor, i.beat, mp3TrekStor is known for its MP3 players, hard disk drives, and USB flash drives. Popular in Germany, TrekStor’s iBeat Blaxx was been accused of being a racist product and joined the list of the worst named gadgets of recent years. In 2007, TrekStor launched their i.Beat mp3 players, which went into a series of controversies over its name “i.Beat blaxx”. This led TrekStor to rename the product as TrekStor Blaxx, which made not much of sense, owing to the fact that the other products TrekStor offers are named ‘i.Beat’. This proves that a bad name can go a long way in hampering the image of a company.
