The 108th Mayor of the New York City, is also the owner of the Bloomberg media company and the 12th richest person in the U.S. born to middle-class parents, he understood the importance of money from a very young age and started to save money. Bloomberg worked as a parking lot attendant during his summer break in order to pay his tution fees. His financial career got a kick start, when he joined Salomon Brothers ad a general partner. He was fired when Salomon Brothers was bought and he invested the $10 million severance package that he got to set up a company named Innovative Market Systems.
