From Sports Field to the Boardroom
A British athlete who gained success in hurdles, Alan Peter Pascoe has tasted success in events marketing and consulting. Since athletics was considered an amateur activity at that time, he worked as a teacher at Dulwich College, and as a lecturer in Physical Education at the Borough Road College. After retiring from competitive athletics, Pascoe became involved with events marketing and consulting. He acted as the Director, Managing Director, Chairman, and CEO of his company Alan Pascoe Associates Ltd., which was later named API. The company was sold in 1998, after which Pascoe started another company Fast Track Events Ltd, of which he us the Chairman. S he has acted as the Director of the Aegis Group, and Chairman of Carat Sponsorship. He was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the successful London bid for the 2012 Summer Olympics in 2003.
