There are instances where a vast majority of the people involved in an organization does not know what they are trying to achieve. When decided to start your company, the first priority is to have a well defined business plan for the next 3 - 5 years. The plan should clearly define the current status and your goal within next few years. It should cover everything from vision to strategy, finance, human resource management, and even a legal plan. Also, never forget that the business plan is not a static document, go back to it, and make changes and amendments on a regular basis. This will also be of immense value when you pitch to investors for funding.
