Sportsmen and Their Amazing Comebacks
4. Sachin Tendulkar
Country: India
Sport: Cricket
The Master Blaster as we fondly call him is considered to be one of the greatest batsman that the international arena has seen. Though opinion is divided on who is greater, Sir Don Bradman or Sachin Tendulkar, comparing the two legends and hoping for a conclusive answer is virtually impossible. But the fact is that Sachin is considered God in India. It is probably the exact reason that we cannot come to terms or understand why his form drops or why he gets injured.
One injury which almost threatened to halt the legends game was his Tennis Elbow. Because of the Tennis Elbow, in 2004 Sachin was out of the cricket scene for almost an entire year. Doctors had said that even if he returns to play he would not be the cricketer he was before the injury. But Sachin loves proving everyone wrong and going against what people expect. And he proved it by emerging from the injury like a phoenix and silenced all his critics when he became the only cricketer to have scored hundred centuries in international cricket which include 48 ODI and 51 Test centauries.
