Satyam's support to World Bank intranet wins accolade

HYDERABAD: The World Bank's intranet site designed & developed by Satyam Computer Services has been ranked among the world's 10 best intranet sites, by the reputed US agency Nielsen Norman group. The US based NN group is a web consultancy organisation that specialises in helping Companies to evaluate and restructure their Web strategies. It is headed by Jakob Nielson, the famous usability evangelist who is credited with accurately forecasting some of the most significant trends in web design and usability. The top 10 sites were selected from a list of 118 nomination from around the world. The World Bank has an ongoing project with Satyam's UXM Solutions (USER Experience Management Solutions) group based in India, both in the implementation of the design of input and display templates that are made available to the Bank's staff for publishing navigation and search. UXM solutions specializes in delivering Internet and Intranet solutions that have a very high degree of usability. Satyam UXM Solutions group focuses on interaction Design, Usability, Online Branding and Content architecture for web based solution. Its list of prestigious clients includes some Fortune –10 Companies. Satyam's UXM solutions group worked with an onshore offshore model to help the World Bank revamp its intranet design. A key factor behind delivering this successful Intranet based content rich design was the team's dedication towards usability as a practice. "Staff can expect benefits including simplified navigation that is standardized across all the main sections of the Intranet, and clear and consistent site branding so staff can easily determine where content can be found," said Nag Nagappan World Banks project manager for the Intranet revamp.
