In the 1996 Pepsi Cup Match against Pakistan Sachin was one of the opening batsmen. The first batsman Rathour was dismissed at 2 runs and it was Sachin Tendulkar and Navjot Sidhu who build the target of 306 by both crossing century. Sachin scored 118 runs. India won by 28 runs.
 
Sachin’s 139 That Completed His 10,000 ODI Runs
Sachin’s brilliant batting at the Nehru Stadium in Indore in March 2001ODI against Australia led to another one of his many records he has built in the cricket world. India set a good target of 300 for Australia to chase. Sachin scored 139 runs which was his 28th ODI century. Sachin’s this century along with the previous ODI scores totaled to 10,000 ODI runs. The Australian team crumpled at 181runs, handing India the big win by 118 runs.

Sachin has brought brilliance and steadfastness to the cricket arena, the Indian spectators are now looking for the next Sachin of this era, since his retirement.
