Jonah Peretti, the co-founder of Huffington post, plans to take his BuzzFeed into a credible news source in 2012. He raised $15.5 million last month to create a good editorial team. With his experience in industry, we can expect a lot from him in the coming year.

8. Kevin and Julia Hartz: Eventbrite

Eventbrite, the online event management and ticket selling site expanded its work internationally last year and closed a $50 million round of finance. It sold 10 million more tickets than the previous year.

The site had recently introduced an off-line way to sell event tickets through iPad. 2012 will be a big year for founders as they plan to take Eventbrite to IPO if it continues to perform like the previous year.
