Dahiya also added that, the site attracts over 20 million odd unique visitors, and only less than a quarter a million actually buy the services, and said that the company is committed to ensuring the transaction number to cross one million a year within the next 24 months.

In September 2008, Info Edge became the first institutional investor to contribute 20 crore in policybazaar.com. Info Edge, in a separate disclosure, said that, it invested Rs 2.5 crore in current round, taking its total exposure to Rs 32.5 crore with 32 per cent stake in the firm. And in 2011, the company raised 40 Cr from Intel Capital and Info Edge.

Policybazaar.com was launched in 2008 by Yashish Dahiya (INSEAD, IIM-A, IIT Delhi), Avaneesh Nirjar (BITs Ranchi) and Alok Bansal (IIM Kolkata).
