Mumbai: The ChildrenÂ’s Film Society India (CFSI), in collaboration with Films Division, has announced ''Monsoon Dhamaal'', in which, a special package of children's films will be screened for 5 days starting Monday, free of cost. The CFSI, in association with Films Division, on Monday announced Mumbai ''Monsoon Dhamaal', where they will screen 10 award-winning CFSI films till July 15 at Films Division auditorium on Peddar Road. "After receiving tremendous response to ''Summer Bonanza'' package for children, we thought we would do this for children during monsoon. As rains prevent children from playing outdoors, watching films would be a relief and fun for them," Nandita Das, Chairperson CFSI said. "We intend to promote childrenÂ’s films amongst young audiences. Though there is enough content on children''s television, most of it is produced outside India," she said. "Young audience here rarely gets the opportunity to watch children''s film that resonates with their lives. We have carefully selected quality films that are not only fun, but also broaden children''s perspectives about the world they live in," Das added. The opening film ''Krish Trish and Baltiboy'' is a hilarious animation, presenting Indian folktales in an exciting contemporary language. ''Monsoon Dhamaal'' package has traveled to Kochi, Pune, Jaipur and will next go to Srinagar, Kolkata, Indore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Bangalore in the coming months. "We are happy to receive support from different organisations, who have collaborated with us to hold the ''Monsoon Dhamaal''," Sushovan Banerjee, CEO, CFSI, said.
