Jaipur: Intensifying the tariff war among telecom companies, the Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL) mobile telephony brand MTS, has launched the combo of unlimited free on-net calls and per second billing on other local and STD calls for its customers in Rajasthan. SSTL Rajasthan Chief Operating Officer Sandeep Yadav said, "On-net free calling along with per second billing is unmatched in the industry. Subscribers can make unlimited local on-net calls free-of-cost for a period of one month, while other local and STD calls will be charged at one paisa per second." He also added that the scheme named as MTalk Super is available at 45 for new customers, while existing customers will have to buy MSaver of 105 to avail this scheme. Also, Yadav said that the new plan would lead the acquisition drive for the company. "We have a subscriber base of over one million and with this scheme, we expect 40 percent growth in the customer acquisition. We will soon have a new revenue stream by launching new products in the wireless broadband segment," he said. Apart from that, the company has also launched a new offering, which enables subscribers to make local calls at 30 paise per minute and STD at 60 paise per minute on a pack of 49 for a year with a talk time of 10. The company has so far invested 950 crore in Rajasthan for rolling out its services. "We have around 60 percent coverage in the state with more than 1400 towers. We plan to consolidate our presence with a special focus on rural penetration service," he said.
