5. Olympian Sushil Kumar:

Among all the above mentioned famous vegetarians in India who represent different fields, no one can forget the recent London Olympic bronze medalist Sushil Kumar, who is a vegetarian by birth, as reported in the ‘Mid Day’ website, but for only the protein intake he is fine with eating eggs, as it contains a very rich protein in it. He thinks that, eating what is natural and healthy is very much beneficial for one’s body as well as the mind. He says that, it is not that difficult to find vegetarian foods in abroad nations because many of them, who were eating meat, are trying to opting out of eating it as soon as possible. Finding vegetarian foods in other nations are not risky anymore as in many western nations you can find many vegetarian Indian foods available.

To popularize the vegetarianism, he has also appeared in a pro-vegetarian PETA India ad, with a caption reading, “Wrestling with Health Problems? Be Fit and Strong: Go Vegetarian", reports the PETA India website.

Apart from the above mentioned vegetarians there are/were a lot more who can be included in this list like, Shahid Kapur, John Abraham, Swamy Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, and Mahatma Gandhi etc.
