Ratan Naval Tata is the present chairman of Tata Group along with major Tata companies, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Tea, Tata Chemicals, The Indian Hotels Company and Tata Teleservices. He has an income of net worth of more than $970 million, but is not figured in the Forbes list of Indian millionaires as a large number of the share of the Tata Sons is held by charitable trusts. He serves in senior capacities in various organizations in India and is the member of the Prime Minister's Council on Trade and Industry. Tata holds many honors and awards, such as Honorary Doctor of Laws from Pepperdine University, Legend in Leadership Award from Yale University, Businessman of the Decade from Federation of Indo-Israel Chambers of Commerce, Honorary Doctor of Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and many more.
