The Reshuffle

Kurt DelBene, president of the Microsoft Office Division, will be retiring, and Rick Rashid, the longtime Microsoft Research chief, will move into DelBene’s shoes to don innovations in Windows OS.

Satya Nadella

Satya Nadella, chief of Microsoft's server and tools group, is named as executive vice president for cloud and enterprise engineering. He will oversee the company's data centre network, known as Global Foundation Services.

Terry Myerson

Terry Myerson, the head of Windows Phone, is named as executive vice president for operating system engineering, overseeing Windows, Windows Phone and the Xbox operating system.

Julie Larson-Green

Julie Larson-Green, head of Windows engineering, is named as executive vice president of devices and studio engineering, including the Microsoft Surface tablet, the Xbox hardware and mice and keyboards.

Qi Lu

Qi Lu, chief of Bing and online services, is names as executive vice president of apps and services engineering, and will oversee Microsoft Office, Skype, the Lync communications service and the Yammer business social network.
