Siddhartha Mukherjee

Siddhartha, the author of the Pulitzer Prize winning book ‘The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer’ is a prominent physician and researcher as well. The book was described, by TIME magazine, as one of the 100 most influential books of the last 100 years, and New York Times magazine placed it among the 100 best works of non-fiction. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University and staff physician at Columbia University Medical Center , New York City.

Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar, a famous Sitar player and Composer is the daughter of legendary sitarist Pandit Ravi Shankar and Sukanya Shankar. When she had to decide between her higher studies and music, she chose the latter and according to her ‘’after I graduated from high school, I made a decision not to go to college and start touring full-time. Even at that time, I thought maybe I’d do it for a year and see what happens. During that year, it became so clear to me that that was my life and who I was– a touring musician."She was nominated for the prestigious Grammy awards twice.
