Pinterest, which peaked in February, has changed the user interface only a few times, most of which have been quiet and didn't really affect the user experience. That's a good thing in the beginning as new users are coming in all the time and people are still getting used to the platform. This is evident by the research’s result which says that one-third of users "praised how the site is beautifully designed." It's simple with just a bunch of boxes on white background.

There are some drawbacks too like the typical spam and technical issues which every social network has. Also there are questions raised about copyright issues. People fear that they could be guilty of copyright infringement. Though, Pinterest has allowed Web sites to opt-out of having their images used by Pinterest’s users.

Despite these issues, Pinterest's rise to fame is quite amazing. Launched in March 2011, Pinterest was named by Hitwise as one of the top 10 sites for identifying social trends last year.
