Bangalore: The world is revolving these days around social networking sites. Facebook and Twitter have become inevitable to internet users. And the latest buzz is around Pinterest, which is a pinboard-style social photo sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies, and more.

SAP and NetBase, a social media consumer insights firm did a study recently and hailed Pinterest as "the fastest growing social site" ever. This was based on their report on the five million conversations on Pinterest across Facebook, Twitter, blogs and other social media resources.

SAP and NetBase covered the top five things that Internet users love and hate about Pinterest. The research showed that approximately 60 percent of the online conversations about Pinterest were conducted by women with the remaining 40 percent by men.

It was found in the research that most Pinterest users love using the platform for finding and sharing recipes, decorating and event planning, among other topics.
