Mindless eating and Tracking Intake
Most of us suffer from "Eating Amnesia"- the act of eating something while relaxing, watching television or reading a book. Cut the habit by resisting temptations and instead try a cup of tea, glass of water or chew a piece of sugarless gum. Keep a log/diary to keep track of what you eat. Have an idea of the amount of calories in your food as most people eat a lot of calories above and beyond what they should. By knowing the number of calories in your food then you can maintain your daily caloric intake.
