It's Raining Applications! Kochi Startup Village On An Incubating Spree
The Government of Kerala is also rewarding those startups that come with innovative ideas and who solve genuine problems as it has promised to provide funds up to 72 lakhs to the winning startup. The government is also short listing the huge list of incubatees to pick the best 50 startups which will receive funding up to 50 lakhs with an interest rate of 6 percent per annum. Apart from all these benefits, startup village also helps the entrepreneurs in filing patents and marketing their startups.
In a year’s time the seven physically incubated companies have employed over 120 people thereby improving the employment rate statistics. Since its inception, the business incubation centre has nurtured around 186 startups out which 20 startups are already reaping revenues over 10 crores and around 40 startups have already received the funding benefits from the Government of Kerala; as reported by Malayala Manorama.
