She has been in news for her tremendous performance in the court ever since winning the medal and recently she made it to the semi finals of the BWF Super Series Finals playing against the Olympic champion Li Xuerui, which she lost after giving a tough competition to Li. Maria Sharapova is the sizzling Russian professional tennis player who is ranked number 2 in the world. Even though she lost to Serena Williams at the Olympics taking home Silver this year for her phenomenal performance at the London Olympics, she is all set for a good come back. Maria Sharapova is set to win the singles title at the Australian Open tennis tournament, the first grand Slam in 2013. Sharapova has been playing exhibition tournament in Milan and Brazil promoting the 2016 Olympic Games.
