Indian Startups Radically Shift Focus From e-Commerce To Technology Ventures
On the other side there has been a radical shift and the attention of entrepreneurs are now towards ecommerce ventures. Startups today are having an attitude of being famous among public as a brand than being famous as a brand in the corporate. The attention of the new generation entrepreneurs are more towards startups that deal directly with the consumers as they look at creating a world popular brand.
In the current context, if a startup has to make a mark the only way is by developing a problem solving solution. Venture capitalists and angel investors are constantly keeping a tab of the market to discover potential startups dealing with problems that people face in their daily lives. Recently, a startup from Kerala was awarded by NASSCOM for its innovative app to protect women against rape. Also, there was another startup that helped the Kerala state government to build an M-Governance app to closely interact with the people of the state. Such startups are being funded and applauded on a large scale compared to e-commerce or other clichéd startups.
