Indian Startups Radically Shift Focus From e-Commerce To Technology Ventures
The year 2013 has already witnessed a great deal in terms of sensible startups. Startups are pouring in with ideas that revolve around technology and enterprise solutions and this is the only way Indian startups can survive. Gone are those days when startups meant e-commerce ventures. Today, there has been a radical shift and more number of young startups and ventures started by serial entrepreneurs are all concentrating on unexplored areas – like helping the differently abled, health and biotech and hardware niche. College students are setting an example with mind boggling products and apps that are revolutionizing the outlook of Indians towards technology and enterprise IT.
As in terms of a lesson for entrepreneurs who are venturing into new ideas, it is clear and evident that e-commerce startups are slowly taking a back stand in funding and growth and entrepreneurs must shift focus to something more realistic and helpful. So, it is time for us to bet on small ventures, be it an idea from students or from the slum and give them a motivational push unlike what we did few years back.
