Myth: Vitamin-Packed Drinks Prevent you from Falling Sick
Fact: As appealing as they might sound, but no, they don't protect you and they are just not worth it! Their label claims of containing Vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium - these are among the nutrients our immune system needs to function competently. Deficiency of these nutrients or of vitamins B6 or B12, folic acid, copper or iron) can slow down immunity. But the important fact here is 'deficiency', most of us have our needs of Vitamins met by the food we eat. So don't consume more of these nutrients as they maybe potentially harmful. So instead of a vitamin-and-mineral-packed drink, a daily supplement of multivitamin / mineral might come in handy. It isn't worth it to risk your health or waste money beyond that.
