'Google Now' Is Headed To Google's Home Page

Google’s search engine is already sporting some elements of Google Now. If you search for a famous person or well-known city, along with the list of search results, a card appears in the right-hand side of the screen giving an overview of that search. Google recently added web speech support for Chrome as well.

Google’s CEO Larry Page in the company’s Q1 2013 earnings call, said, “Voice commands are going to be increasingly important. It’s just much less hassle to talk than type! So this quarter we launched Chrome support for web speech APIs. Developers can now easily add voice recognition into their web apps. We expect to see a lot of innovation there,” as reported by FirstPost, indicating every possibility of incorporating Google Now in Google’s Search Home Page.
