#4 Sabeer Bhatia

He is an Indian American Entrepreneur, who founded the Hotmail email service and Jaxtr - the free messaging service.

Bhatia was born in Chandigarh and grew up in Bangalore. He pursued his early education in Bishop School in Pune and then at St. Joseph’s Boy’s High School in Bangalore. He got his bachelor’s degree at the California Institute of Technology after being transferred from BITS Pilani and then earned his Master’s degree from Stanford University.

As President and CEO, he led Hotmail to a rapid rise to industry leadership which resulted in an ultimate acquisition by Microsoft in 1998.

#3 Anand Rajaraman

Anand Rajaraman is a web and technology entrepreneur and co-founder of Cambrain Ventures and Kosmix.

Born in Chennai, Rajaraman holds an M.S. and a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from IIT Madras.

Prior to Kosmix, Rajaraman, together with four other engineers founded Junglee Corp. in 1996.

In 1990 he was found to play a major role in Amazon.com by launching the transformation of the website from a retailer into a retail platform, allowing third-party retailers to sell on Amazon’s website.
