5. Delhi The Capital of India occupies the fifth position with 92.9 percent of population saying that they are happy. Delhi contributes 4.94 percent to all-India GDP (Gross Domestic Product). Delhi's gross domestic product stands at about 1,60,739 crore (Rs 1,607.39 billion). Regarded as the important commercial centre in South Asia, Delhi has a per capita income of Rs 53,976, which is more than double the national average. IT, telecommunications, hotels, banking, media and tourism are Delhi's key service industries, backed by a strong and well laid out infrastructure. Recently, Delhi's manufacturing industry has grown considerably and consumer goods industries have established manufacturing units and headquarters in andaround the capital. At the 2011 Census the capital city of the country is the eighth largest metropolis in the world by population with 16,753,265 inhabitants in the Territory.
