If PowerPoint presentations are not assembled effectively, it can handicap a meeting. This is the most common mistake made by the designers with meeting presentations in an attempt to make the slides stand alone for information. This leads the presenter to read directly from the slides rather than having information captured that they can refer to while they are presenting, i.e. charts, graphs, bullet facts etc. It should be taken into account that slides are provided to accompany the speaker who should always remain the main presenter of information. Unnecessary slide transition, goofy clipart and odd sounds should be avoided. Though a spiced up power point presentation can add on more fun to the meeting, it can also bring in degrade if not performed professionally
