The Intellec Series computers compromised of Intellec Microcomputer Development Systems (MDS) that where based on Intel’s microcomputer. These systems included a main unit, a CPU, RAM, ROM and an input-output unit. The Intellec Series compromised of series 4 and 8, II and III, along with MDS. Among them the Intellec 4 is their first model, introduced in 1973. The 4 series was incorporated with Intel’s 4-bit processor and was meant for software development for 4004. Same year, the tech world also saw Intel’s first 8 bit processor, the Intellec 8 for the 8008. This was followed by Intellec MDS, launched in 1975. It had a 8080 processor and was used for computers like MCS-80 and Intel series 3000 systems. After that Intel introduced the Series II Model that had a 2000 character CRT along with detachable ASCII keyboard and 8’’ drive that provides nearly 1MB storage.
