Expats Find India an Attractive Destination to Work in



The survey revealed that the high number of multinational companies launching their centers in India allures executives with specific technical expertise from all around the world. Even the opportunity to gain experience in the global market adds to the attraction of working in India.

The expats surveyed said that they want to stay for more than one year in India. Most expats polled in the survey worked in general management, chief executive position and chief operating office. Whereas in IT or telecom and technology there were about 30 percent expats, followed by manufacturing sector which showed about 12 percent.

About the rising number of expats in India Felix said, “As a fast-growing economy, India is currently attracting talent and skill from across all corners of the world. Our survey showed that executives are seeing a greater number of expats seeking to be part of the Indian workforce to not only gain first-hand experience in a global economy but also be a part of the dynamic India growth story,” as per Business Standard.

Felix added that the security and the country’s environment are the major concerns confronted by the expats, but the number is still rising because India performs better compared to other countries. He claims, “We have seen very good improvement in India in the last 10 years in terms of standard of living and other factors, which has aided the entry of expats into the country.”
