4. Perfint Healthcare

Founded in 2005, it sells two robot products under the brand Robio and Piga in South-East Asian countries, Europe and Latin America. These are used by radiologists for biopsy, drug delivery and ablation, a process in which the tumor is burnt or frozen by inserting a needle in the affected area. Perfint is now betting big on its newest robot product Maxio, which makes complex, multi-probe ablations simpler. The product will help to make these life-saving procedures available to more cancer patients than ever before.

Funding Status: The firm had raised $7.2 million by Norwest Venture Partners in 2010. It had raised $3.5 million from IDG and Accel in its first round in 2007.

5. DocSuggest

Founder: Shantanu Jha

Docsuggest allows patients to search for doctors for specific ailments, and completes the loop by allowing them to book appointments. It aggregates information on doctors and hospitals – like the doctor’s degree, experience, expertise, fees, insurance options etc.
