DesiCrew Raises Investments From responsAbility, Ventureast
Bangalore: DesiCrew Solutions, an IIT-M incubated rural BPO firm has secured series B funding from respons Ability Ventures and Ventureast Tenet Fund.
DesiCrew Solutions, incorporated by Saloni Malhotra in 2007 is a rural BPO firm that sets up its centers in rural parts of the country and trains local population to perform the back-end operations of the global clients enabling them to provide services of international standards. It currently has an employee base of 130 people across its five centers sprawled across Tamil Nadu.
A social investment company, respons Ability Ventures was founded in 2003 and focused in areas such as microfinance, SME financing, fair trade, healthcare, education etc. It has currently invented in over 372 companies spread across 70 countries.
Ventureast Tenet Fund, on the other hand, focuses on sectors such as healthcare, clean technology and agribusiness sectors and invests in small and mid-market companies.
