James Foley directs this 2003-released smooth and glossy crime caper Confidence, starring Edward Burns, Dustin Hoffman and Rachel Weisz. Edward Burns (Jake Vig) is a con man who inadvertently rips off a sadistic mob boss (Dustin Hoffman) and ends up pulling off a bigger rip off to repay the debt. Edward Burns relays an intricate plan devised by his gang: Gordo (Paul Giamatti), Miles (Brian Van Holt), and Big Al (Louis Lombardi). The bunch steals money from a guy named Lionel (Leland Orser), who turns out to be a mob accountant.
