Los Angeles: Rapper Eminem has become the first artist in the US to touch the one million mark by selling as many digital copies of his 2010 sole studio album ''Recovery''. The 38-year-old singer has scored the record-setting achievement after his latest solo album pulled in such a huge number in a cumulative download, reported AceShowbiz. Interscope Records'' Vice Chairman Steve Berman called it "an incredible achievement by an incredible artist?. "Over the years we''ve made a concerted effort to engage Em''s online fan base, so this achievement is especially rewarding. Eminem made an amazing album with ''Recovery'' and the fans responded in record numbers," said his manager Paul Rosenberg. A follow-up to 2009''s ''Relapse'', ''Recovery'' was released last June. It debuted at number One on Billboard Hot 200 with the first-week sales of 741,000 copies. It occupied the number one slot for at least seven non-consecutive weeks, selling over 100,000 copies in each week of its first nine weeks. By the end of June this year, it has sold 4 million copies in the US and nearly 6 million copies worldwide.
