oracle, lawrence ellison, ceoLawrence Ellison, CEO, Oracle is reported to receive a base salary of $1 from 2010, a down from the $999,999 he received in 2009 (of which 97 percent came from stocks). Though he is paid a negligible compensation, he is the world’s fourth wealthiest person. He was awarded seven million stock options by Oracle in 2009 (for the fourth year in a row). The Wall Street Journal reports Ellison as one of the best-paid executives in the last decade with a total compensation of $1.84 billion.
