Larry Page
Larry Page, Co-Founder, Google, in the second quarter of 2004, requested that his salary be reduced to $1. Page who founded Google along with Sergey Brin in a garage in 1996, agreed to the negligible compensation after Google saw its profits dwindling. Page owns a significant stake in Google, and his primary compensation comes from the returns on that investment. Page sold 400,000 shares raising more than $70 million, but still has a lot of his net worth tied up in Google’s stocks, approximately 26.5 million shares.
